A view taken from the frontmost seat of a tram showing the driver at his controls as he drives down a street in England in 1913.
Well, I'm not quite a time traveller...but pretty much....this was taken at Beamish, a big open air museum place in the North of England. This part is The Town and its an amazing recreation of a typical northern town highstreet in 1913. You get to go into the shops and see all the amazing old things and talk to people in costume behind the counter who act their part out (slightly accentric people who relish living in 1913 in their spare time). The buildings come from all over and are rebuilt for the street to get it as near perfect feeling as possible. The trams run in a circuit over a mile long and take you to other parts of the museum, so they trundle down the street every now and then, like it was when i took this picture.
Haha, thanks. It is an ace place....especialy when there isn't tons of tourists and bloody Americans all over (just kidding, hahaha ) When its a bit quieter you can almost fool yourself into believeing that you are in the past and its weird. You start to want to see a piece of plastic or summat again to remind you its not real, haha. It's great though.
Thanks for the comment xx

Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
